Here's what changed and why it matters

The proxy protects your IP. The leak detector watches your browser's internal traffic. But neither tells you anything about the site you're about to visit. A site can be reached through a clean proxy connection and still be a phishing page built to steal your credentials. Your IP being hidden doesn't help if you hand over your password voluntarily

The AI scanner fills that gap

When you navigate to a URL, Vexon analyses it before the page loads. 3 checks run before the site loads

Threat Scan. Our threat analysis engine evaluates the domain, URL structure, and contextual signals to produce a threat level: Low, Medium, or High. This isn't a blocklist lookup. It handles novel domains, newly registered sites, and URL patterns that blocklists haven't caught yet

Phishing Detection. The URL is analysed against known phishing patterns and flagged if risk is detected. A phishing site pretending to be PayPal doesn't need to be on a list to get caught. Pattern similarity to known phishing infrastructure flags it regardless

Privacy Score. The domain is evaluated against known tracker networks, advertising scripts, and data broker associations to produce a score from 0 to 100. Above 85 means strong privacy posture. Below 40 means heavy tracking infrastructure is active on the page

All 3 results appear in the Vexon popup within seconds of navigation. Before the page fully loads, you have a Trust Score, Threat Level, Phishing Risk rating, and Tracker Count

A few things this is not-

It's not a blocker. Vexon shows you the information. You decide whether to continue. Automated blocking creates false positives that interrupt legitimate browsing. Information gives you control. Blocking takes it away

It's not perfect. AI models can be wrong. A low threat score doesn't guarantee safety. A high score on a legitimate newly launched domain can happen. Use it as a signal, not a verdict

It's not storing your browsing history. URLs are processed through our AI pipeline in real time. Nothing is retained. Every request is stateless. We have no record of what you searched or where you went
